BAR&CAFE M’s
A moment to unwind in the city.
BAR&CAFE M’s in Yarai-cho, Kagurazaka pairs an impressive collection of Scotch and Japanese whiskies with homemade Moscow Mules and classic cocktails for a quiet evening drink.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Just looking at the bottles lining the back bar brings a quiet sense of anticipation about what to choose for the first drink of the evening. Located in Yarai-cho within the Kagurazaka area, BAR&CAFE M’s balances an expansive bottle collection sure to impress whisky enthusiasts with an approachable, unhurried atmosphere.
What stands out most is the breadth of single malts hailing from across Scotland. From the floral elegance of Speyside's The Glenlivet 12 Year Old and The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old to the smoky peat notes typical of Islay bottles like Laphroaig 10 Year Old and Lagavulin 16 Year Old, each regional profile can be savored neat or on the rocks. The lineup also features Japanese whiskies such as Yamazaki, Yoichi, and Chita, alongside bourbons like Maker's Mark 46, offering ample room to explore depending on personal taste or mood.
Beyond whisky, the bar is equally appealing for its cocktails, each mixed individually with care. The options span from a house-made Moscow Mule with a pleasant ginger kick to clean classics like the Martini and Gimlet, and even dessert-like pours featuring Godiva chocolate liqueur. With both counter seating and tables in a calm, quiet room, the space accommodates solo guests settling in for a quiet nightcap as easily as companions engrossed in conversation at the end of the day.
